Saturday Arkansas auto accident claims one life

 The Log Cabin Democrat reported that a man died Saturday morning when he lost control on a curve in the road and veered off the highway.

 The Arkansas auto accident happened about 4:24 a.m. when the pickup truck the victim was driving went off the road and crashed into some trees. The car accident victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Arkansas State Police.

 The auto accident victim was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Husband of Arkansas auto accident victim files lawsuit against bus company, driver

 The Arkansas Democrat Gazette reported that the husband of an Arkansas car accident victim who passed away in a bus crash in November is suing the bus company as well as the driver. The auto accident victim was one of four people who died in the crash.

 The Arkansas car accident victim died nearly a month after the bus crash happened. The husband’s attorney claims in the suit that the driver falsified his log books and had driven for at least 18 hours non-stop.

Freezing weather causes fatal Arkansas auto accident

January 22, 2008

The Morning News reported that freezing road conditions caused at least one fatal Arkansas auto accident Tuesday morning.

A man involved in a two-vehicle car accident died at the scene. He was a former freelance writer for The Morning News who provided local history features.

The Arkansas auto accident victim was backing up on the shoulder of the highway and crossed into the opposite lane of traffic where he was struck by another vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle was hospitalized.

Rogers auto accident victim Amy Halsey and her passenger were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

Icy weather causes several Arkansas car accidents

 The Morning News reported that freezing conditions on several roads caused several Arkansas auto accidents and kept police officers busy during the morning commute.

 Icy bridges and overpasses caused several Arkansas car accidents, including one involving seven cars and one serious auto accident.

 After a minor accident, a woman was inspecting her vehicle and was struck by another car. While road conditions are expected to improve, officials encourage drivers to slow down and increase the distance between cars while travelling to avoid Arkansas auto accidents.

Officer gets grant to focus on drunk drivers and deterring Arkansas auto accidents

January 15, 2008

 A Selective Traffic Enforcement Program grant has allowed a Rogers Police Department officer to work overtime to focus on finding and arresting drunk drivers who could cause Arkansas car accidents, according to The Benton County Daily Record.

 The program allows one man to spend his night just focusing primarily on deterring Rogers auto accidents because of drunk drivers on the road.

Drivers pleads not guilty in Arkansas auto accident where boy was run over by bus

January 11, 2008

A bus driver involved in a Arkansas auto accident that injured a 6-year-old boy pleaded not guilty on Monday to charges of leaving the scene of the accident, according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.

The young boy was bending over to pick something up he had dropped in front of the bus, according to court records, when the bus moved forward and hit the Arkansas car accident victim with both axles.

A jury trial in the car accident case has been set for April 29 and an omnibus hearing for Feb. 11.
