October 9, 2007

The Northwest Arkansas Times received a report about Arkansas auto accidents at a particular Fayetteville intersection from the Arkansas State Police that showed 104 car accidents occurring in or near the five-way intersection between College Avenue, Rock Street, and Archibald Yell Boulevard. The most common factors in the auto accidents were careless or prohibited driving and failure to yield, though the set-up of the intersection itself may contribute with blocked visibility and complicated structure.

The Fayetteville City Council Street Committee is devoting time to studying the intersection to make informed decisions about how to improve the area to avoid future Arkansas car accidents and injuries.
